Middlesex County is replacing an existing baseball/softball field and will build a multipurpose, artificial turf field for soccer and lacrosse. They will also add a playground and waking and hiking trails on a 25-acre tract of land they pruchased in 2004. The entire parcel lies in North Brunswick on the border of Milltown between Milltown Road and DeVry University on Route 1. The county has said in the past that they were going to devlop the property as a park for use by the county township with a preference to Milltown and North Brunswick groups.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Saturday Oct 25th at 12:30 and the baseball/softball field just off Elkins road in Milltown.
